About Michael

Michael Cohen has been working in the entertainment industry since 1990, starting out as a researcher, associate producer, and assistant director for CBC television and radio in Vancouver. He shifted careers in 1994 to focus on being a professional actor, comedian, writer and script consultant. He is currently the series lead in the new Nelvana animated series Grossology. He has had numerous roles in television and radio including Queer As Folk, Doc, Roboroach, Moville Mysteries and Henry’s World. He wrote, produced and starred in the award-winning short film Jew Jube Lives, co-starring Luba Goy and Bruce Hunter. The film was nominated for the prestigious Golden Sheaf Award for Comedy from Yorkton’s Film and Video Festival in 2005. He has been a script reader for Alliance Atlantis, CBC and BC Film, and is currently Astral Media The Harold Greenburg Fund’s Script Consultant for comedic screenplays. He has superfluous degrees in Cell Biology and a Masters in Adult Education.
