FUCK YOU CANCER!
A Terminally Funny One Man Show
Performed by Robert Hawke
Directed by Michael Cohen
Written by Robert Hawke with Michael Cohen

A twisted angry demon is in the corner licking its lips. Its name?

Cancer.

While Norman's thyroid expands out of control, so does his mind. His liver and spleen have their own opinions. Who will win the battle in Norman's fight for his life? A hilarious ride through the circulatory system of hell.

Based on a true story.

Fuck You Cancer! was first workshopped in Prague in 2006. Why Prague? Why does the show have "Fuck You" in the title? Here's the scoop...

Robert Hawke was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2005. He had surgery in February 2006 and had already committed to a show in The Prague Fringe Festival. The experience of having cancer and going through surgery was so profound that he was determined to write about the experience. So together, Robert Hawke and Michael Cohen created Fuck You Cancer! and workshopped it in Europe to standing ovations.

Buoyed by their success across the pond, Robert and Michael recently reworked Fuck You Cancer! in Los Angeles and performed it at Toronto's Bad Dog Theatre from June 26 to June 30, 2007.

As a recent cancer survivor, Robert believes passionately in bringing hope and laughter to this most serious of subjects.
